I see your point. However, getting into and out of Vanguard funds is a feasible idea only if the funds are in a tax-sheltered account. Otherwise, I don't see any point in paying taxes on capital gains every year... Better to stay put in index funds.

Unfortunately, my 401(K) is managed by Fidelity :-((( So, I will have to wait until I can roll it over to an IRA sometime in the future, if I have to implement his recommendations.

Btw, Wiener has been thumping the desk about the Specialized Health Care Fund these days. Any thoughts on that?
