Vartan: The industry uses silicon diodes today which can not operate at high temperatures. Diodes allow current to go in one direction only and one use is in power supplies. GM uses 11 million of these a year. Silicon diodes must be cooled in environments like under the hood of an automobile but GaAs diodes do not require cooling and product cost can be decreased using this technology. This is the first company I know of that has been able to manufacturing GaAs diodes to meet the mass market. A serious technology advancement. Many well known companies have samples of these diodes and one has designed them into their products. I talked to Allan Jones at 305-370-2618 and he was able to answer my questions and send me both technical and financial information. I think this company has a couple of excellent business strategies which increases its chances for survival. JMG
