From Chemical Business news, this story is about Amoco's
Accpro polymer, but has some Ontro news:

Self-heating beverage containers are being manufactured
and marketed now by Ontro Inc and they are made of ACCPRO
Enhanced Polymer from Amoco Polymers.

The new container can be moulded to look just like a
standard 16-ounce beverage can, but has the added convenience
of a self-contained heat source, making it ideal for infant
formula as well as products like soups and cocoa, coffee
beverages and others.

Depressing a thimble on the container bottom activates a
mixture of two natural heating materials, which heat the
beverage to consumption temperature in five minutes.

ACCPRO Enhanced Polymer is integral to the performance of
the Ontro container.

The container is moulded in one seamless, dual compartment piece.

ACCPRO gives the container the strength and high-heat resistance
needed to withstand the self-heating process during product use.

ACCPRO provides sufficient insulating properties to ensure the beverage stays at the proper temperature for up to 20 minutes.

And ACCPRO is FDA approved.
