Come on!! Wake up!! Are we talking about Compaq?? Some of you must be on an a emotional scare, or you just shorted this stock with your life savings. Let put this Compaq deal into persective.
1. Compaq is one of the largest computer makers in the world I say again IN THE WORLD
( Not some penny stock that is going to be delisted, and probably has the cash reserve to wait out any price war that from where I stand looks like they started to move out thier old inventory now everyone else is jumping on the bandwagon)
2. They were the first to step forward and announce that thier is a problem... They didn't try and hide it untill the last minute..Like
for instance H.P...Who today is finally waking up and seeing
the that compaqs about to eat thier lunch (with the DEC deal)
3. From what I've seen compaq has been making a real effort to move thier backed inventory line.( I've been on three Airforce base's exchanges from N.M. to M.S. no bullsh*t I saw three compaq's walk out the door I was amazed to see the price of $699.00 for a 166 loaded 16xcd jbl speaker's the works 33.6 $699.00 if don't beleave me call 601-435-2216... Lets see who can compete with that and still have revenues this quarter at 699.00 this has to be opening up new people
to the market who couldn't afford $1000.00 system
4. They are with out a doubt one of the most deversified company's
out there. They use 3 differnt processors meaning they are capable of
making really low cost machines if they wanted to create say a sub 600.00 system to open a new market wouldn't you think it maybe possible..(speculation)
5. This looks like the facts that compaq is doing things in a calculated way not scrambling around.

And finally compaq presents it self as a market leader.. example like Intel and Motorola was the first the break the news about flat earnings.. Compaq will not fade away without a fight I've just bought in long on it..

But its just my opinion.. )-@
