Hi Jim and Dwight, The Department of Energy project is for a 10 kilowatt-hour flywheel storage device. Cost $7.5 million over 36 months. Boeing, Argonne Labs, Intermagnetics and Southern California Edison are all consortium members. biz.yahoo.com SatCon's flywheel UPS system is rated 1 kilowatt-2 hour so the intended end application may or may not be different. Field tests are scheduled for THIS month so we definately have the competitive advantage time wise.
