Pravin, Methinks that the chip will be a G3, not a G4. I don't think a next generation chip on par with Merced using a superior fabrication technology is going to be running at a pokey 400Mhz. Anyone care to place a wager on this? We'll all find out on Tuesday. I would also like to add that in the discussion of the G4 I forgot the entire issue of VMX, AIM's answer to a much hyped MMX. I remember reading that Quickdraw3d got a 5-6 times speed boost running under this new instruction set. Who needs a DSP (Trimedia) with this kind of performance?!
