Bob, have you heard anything about the super speedway (for NASCAR
events) they are constructing near Kansas City, Kansas?

I haven't heard much lately, but also haven't been watching the news very much. And I'm extremely curious about it for personal reasons (see my profile), especially if it includes (as I'm told it may) an SCCA-suitable road course.

If so is there any mention of ARET landing any contracts pertaining to that?

Right now there's no mention from ARET of anything. They're keeping a very tight lid on everything until they get the 97 10K out.

It would seem a good fit, given their past. My best friend, who was a local truck-driver for a very long time (and, oddly enough, a Mensan) said that he remembered the Tomahawk name from when he was hauling for road construction projects.

However, in direct contradiction to that, when I mentioned to Barry the possibility some time back of getting back on the vendor list for Missouri highway projects (after a diligent threadster found they'd been on it previously), he replied with a very snide "So, you're saying we should do road construction now, eh?"

One of the major warts on this company's past, IMO, was their tendency to get into everything. Kinda like Larry, Darryl, and Darryl's "Anything for a Buck" business (that reference is gonna be lost on Jens, methinks <g>). Maybe they've excised that particular wart?.....

The other, of course, was announced projects long on promise but short on delivery. The single most important reason I bet my money here is that I thought they were priced correctly for a company who'd been like that, but that they'd changed their ways. The seemingly endless delay of financials has seriously shaken my faith in that having changed, though.

But I can do nothing now but bide my time....

Before I forget, thanks for all the information you've supplied in the past, it has been very unbiased and most informative

Thank you very much for that. Though I don't give any value to the credibility of certain individuals who choose to slam me, and shouldn't be bothered by it at all, it does bother me enough that a message such as yours (and the other public and private ones I've gotten) does me a world of good. Thanks.

Now let's hope that the opinions I've offered in the past regarding this company eventually prove to be true... Well, at least the positive/hopeful opinions.
