Tom, There was a running debate with Ted David on Prodigy for awhile, but then it got so heated he stopped posting. I think it is like sports. You expect a Harry Carey to root for the Cubs, he is the Cubs announcer. You don't expect the network sports guy to root for one team or another. CNBC is supposed to present the news and instead they are cheerleaders and enablers of whatever is happening now.

My main gripe, always, has been the way they interview somebody who is positive on an issue and tell you all about what a wonderful portfolio manager or analyst he is. Then when somebody is negative on an issue, maybe even the same somebody, they stick in a warning that "of course, he is short and you should keep that in mind." Why do bears need caveats and bulls don't? Doesn't make any kind of sense in an environment of real journalism. MB
