SGI on "Movie Magic" The Discovery Channel's "Movie Magic" show last week also showed SGI products used in special effects for movies/commercials. The SGI logo on the monitors was very visable. The effects they were accomplishing were cutting-edge technology. Popular Mechanic's April '96 issue also had an informative story on the new 64-bit Nintendo Ultra 64 game system, featuring a customized version of MIP's R4000 64-bit RISC chip, running at 93.75 MHz. They also had a cover story on 3-D on the Internet, mentioning SGI's role.
