Yep, you got that right. But much more up-close-and-personal. A long, long time ago, at a brokerage far, far away, I went up to see about buying stock. The fellow I talked to said, "Buy *****, it's got a great product, got nowhere to go but up," etc. Two weeks later, after it had gone down 50%, I asked him for advice. "Oh, *****, I sold that turkey last week. It's a real loser." Well, he wasn't my broker anymore, he wasn't with the firm much longer, either (but I can't take credit for that). But, I bought it, I learned something. This guy should have been a "sell" signal.
