Mr Metals, I received the following email from StockHouse:

"Subject: StockHouse - NewsBlast Services
X-Mailer: Allaire Cold Fusion 2.0
Date: Tue, 10 Mar 1998 13:03:35 -0800

The document below is not an official company sponsored news release.
*********************************************************
Company: Anaconda Uranium Corporation
Symbol: ANU
Exchange: VSE
Last Price: 0.35
52 Week High/Low: $0.36 - $1.05

One Billion Dollars Of Uranium Trading At 40 Cents

Anaconda Uranium Corporation was formed in early 1996 by an
experienced team of mining professionals to take part in the boom in
uranium prices which began in 1996. Since inception, Anaconda has been
successful in acquiring uranium reserves of approximately 70 million lbs. in four deposits located in Australia and the U.S. At the current long-term contract prices of $14-15 per lb., that translates into an in situ value of approximately $1 billion."

Why does it say "not an official company sponsored news release?" Looks like you fabricated the whole press release yourself and spammed it all over SI and probably other chat rooms as well. Are you trying to run a pump'n dump scam?

Has anyone actually called Anaconda and found out if this is legitimate and if Mr Metals really writes their press releases? The Anaconda web page seems legitimate, however, their last PR was 9/24/97, that is until Mr Metals starting writing their promos.

Be very leery when dealing with phonies using pseudonyms on the internet. An appropriate response might include complaining to the SI Webmistress, learning about online stock frauds at National Fraud Information Center 1-800-876-7060 fraud.org Or better yet, file a complaint at the SEC - Investor Assistance & Complaints page sec.gov

Here's another choice quote: "I checked with the SEC and the NASDAQ and they confirmed their statements. Mr Metals" Yeah right! The SEC and NASDAQ do NOT confirm company statements, who are you kidding? I for one will ignore any claim made by someone sporting a moniker such as "Mr Metals." For a few bucks Mr Metals can now vanish and become the "Radioactive Ranger."
