United States Basketball League Awards New Franchise to Washington,
D.C.

MILFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 10, 1998--The United States Basketball League (USBL) announced today
that it has awarded an expansion franchise to Washington, D.C. for the 1998 season. The announcement of Washington, D.C.
concludes the expansion for the 1998 USBL season. Within the next couple of weeks Larry Arnold, President and CEO of the
team, and his associates will hold a Press Conference to announce and unveil the team name, team arena, team logo, and Head
Coach.

In bringing a team to Washington, D.C. Arnold brings a tremendous working background to the position. Mr. Arnold, as
President of International Associates has been active on Capitol Hill for more than twenty years. He has been a successful
negotiator between private business and government; between private business and other private businesses; most recently
representing private business to the Environmental Protection Agency. He is often called upon to negotiate problems in
professional sports. Many attorneys have called and come to meet with him for advice in court cases they were involved in.
Arnold has brought to successful conclusion many problems that corporations and individuals have negotiated for months,
sometimes years. All of his clients come to him from recommendations of satisfied clients, since, to date, he has never
advertised. Mr. Arnold is also the founder of Global Relations Associates, and has received an award for being among the top
five public relations businessman in the country. He is very active in fund-raising, which has included work for muscular
dystrophy and cancer research. Arnold is a resident of Silver Spring, Maryland and is a member of Har Tzeon/Agudith Achim
Synagogue. It is Arnold's aim that he will be able to apply his skills and knowledge to make Washington D.C. a flagship
franchise in the USBL.

''Having a team in Washington, D.C. is something that we at the USBL have worked on for many years,'' said Daniel T.
Meisenheimer, III. ''We are very excited to place a USBL expansion franchise in a new market. This is obviously a community
filled with a rich-sporting tradition and with the management team already in place there is no question in my mind that
Washington, D.C. and the USBL will be a perfect fit.''

The USBL, based in Milford, Connecticut will begin play in 1998 on Friday, May 1st. The Washington, D.C. entry will play a
26-game schedule, which will include 13 home games. The USBL is economical entertainment as a family of four can attend a
USBL game for practically the same price of one NBA ticket. Over the course of the last 12 seasons the USBL has sent 113
players on to the NBA. Among the 113 Alumni the USBL has showcased are Tyrone ''Muggsy'' Bogues, Chris Childs, Mario
Elie, Avery Johnson, Anthony Mason and Charlie Ward.

The USBL is the first and only publicly traded Sports League allowing fans to become owners (OTC BB:USBL - news). The
USBL Web Site at usbl.com has team information, player statistics and all recent League announcements.
