There is a variety of possibilities here. Understand that under the proposal NASD would create a holding company under which amex and nasdaq would continue to operate separately as subsidiaries. Under the proposal, companies would have the choice of where their stocks would be listed. There is also a possibility this may not go through if members turn down the proposal. We just have to see what the next few weeks will bring.
