Hey Jack -

I was expecting bear responses similar to yours - what else would you guys say about it? As for the Street.com and Cramer - a very small piece of the investment world logs on every day and shuffles through the information. On the other hand, when the magazine hits the streets, it will be in full view for the millions of people out there. Just think shorts, aol is gonna split on Monday, people are gonna walk by Fortune on the shelves and wonder what Steve and AOL Wins! is all about - maybe some will even go long. Whereas most bears will give the typical response that Jack gave, most consumers won't have such great "insight."

As for the interesting posts your talking about on the Fool, I only saw one post - simply asking why AOL doesn't provide rtq. Do you really need them? I can understand day traders, but simple investors don't really need to know tick by tick. If anyone really wants them, go to Thompson and sign up. Maybe in the future Bloomberg will give AOLers rtq, who knows. I'm sure it has been discussed - not sure about blowing usage costs sky high. If that were the case, Thomspon would never allow it to be free. Also issues concerning SEC laws and individuals - AOL might not want everyone to submit a application just to get rtq.
