Allen -

Do you truely understand the "cook the books" concept? A company does whatever it can to make the current quarter profit look stronger, and that includes such tactics as including orders placed but not shipped for later quarters as "received" for the current quarter, putting debt off for later quarters (ie: rebates) etc, etc, etc...have a corporate accountant explain all the "funny" things they can do to the books.

Why did they pay off Renang plant and retooling now? Who knows, maybe they were contracted to pay this quarter, maybe in was deemed "better now than later", etc.

I know of course you are honest, Allen, but let us say that for minute you are not and your job is to make the current quarter look "strongest" and your bonus is based on how well you make the books look within "legal law". Now will you do it "honestly" and hit the unemployment office or the "funny" way and schmooze with the boss down at chez whitey?

If you are blind to such practices in this world for even one moment, then you are very naive and are only fooling yourself because nearly every company in America is doing it, whether you like to believe it or not.
