Robert,

The S-3 is effective - if the debenture holders choose to convert the debentures, they can sell immediately.

They can convert at a price equal to 92% of the average market price for one share of Common Stock for the five preceding previous trading days. The debenture holders will gain the maximum if they can keep the price depressed for 5 trading days. You can be sure that they will get out at the best conversion price.

Also, Altair (at its discretion) can make use of the second half of the $10M issue : between July 29 and September 29, 1998. IMHO, the stock price of ALTIF might recover before/around July 29 so that a new cycle can start

IMHO, the credibility of the company took a dive (at least in my opinion). You will note that capfund@pacbell.net spelt my name wrong. He has obviously not read my posts ( there is no connection between my posts and the recent drop) - I strongly suspect (speculation on my part) that the IR of Altair did mention my name to capfund@pacbell.net as the cause for the drop. Blaming the drop on me is a pure joke.

This company does not even believe in news releases about the quarterly "earnings". How many companies do you know which does this?

Regards,
Rajiv
