No I haven't heard this.

Have recently completed a chart study since 11/91 and here is what I have found:

QCOM has a very discernable pattern - Buy lows and Sell highs occur every 21 to 22 months. Lows = 9/92; 7/94 and 4/96. Highs = 1/92; 10/93; 8/95. The lows are 7; 14; 31. The highs are 14; 42; 51.

From the most recent Sell top, 21 months is 5/97. From the Buy bottom, 21 months is 1/98. Based on this, we can expect QCOM to breach 100 by sometime in May or June, 1997. This coincides nicely with successful rollouts. For those who are conservative, the low for the next cycle is 62 by 1/98 = 67% return in 14 months - not bad for the down side. Also, the price today is consistant with the low of 31 in April - based on the chart, the stock should not move much lower and provides an excellent buying opportunity.

Of course, all of this could be bunk but if history repeats itself = 170% gain in 7 - 8 months.
