Mike One thing for sure I am not buying puts in DELL or CPQ. They say the high end server market is very strong. One thing I agree is that retail PC business will suffer. GATE is the most vulnerable. But Gate is also some sort of corporate provider, mainly to US govt. Do you know the % of market share for US govt shared by CPQ, DELL GATE.
I am waiting for GATE earnings next week to really decide if it is a
put candidate. I am sure they will beat estimates, but if they dont blowout like CPQ, they will be the most vulnerable.
I think is is no point to diversify in put buing amomg CPQ, DELL and GATE. It is very unlikely DELL and CPQ will go down the tubes and GATE will do well. BTW gate is (IMO) most weakest among the 3 dominant companies. but valuation (PE) is at par with DELL and CPQ whith the recent surge to 55.
What do you say?
