RE POST:Well, I'm glad the MetaStock folks finally added that capability. When I loooked at version 5, I passed on it because it couldn't do that. Now that you have looked at that, look to see if you can pick acceleration of the %k at 40% and leveling at 60% and see what the stock prices are. I think you will find that better than the 50% rule of thumb. I use the crossover as a general screen before going into detailed analysis. If you want to see something really scary, instead of stocks, plug in the DJIA, the NCM and S&P and compare what it is now to last October...

Does the %k at 40% and leveling at 60% have anything to do with the %k slowing periods? MS simply offers a choice of 1,2,3,etc. they do not specify a given %.
