Here is a post I found about BIG DOG on another thread....
@@@THE TRUTH ABOUT MIKE???@@@ You be the judge. ---- Read
I'm entitled to my opinion and here it is. You be the judge. Mike could be engaging in what we'll refer to as "shell scam" stocks. Let me tell you how one might operate. Mike and a Market Maker buddy would purchase a cheap shell that has done nothing with its corporate life. They would begin to release news to the wires about "letters of intent", positive progress, a new corporate direction and upcoming financial statements. When they will have sold their allotted shares at the set price range, the stock would fall and the company would go out of business (or more than likely passed on to another shell scam). These guys would continue to pyramid these scams like this until they are very wealthy. But watch this. See it's not so easy. Somehow Mike would have to round up the cattle for slaughter. And now Mike would have a new tool. A scam like this might have been run through brokers before but now a powerful tool has emerged, the Web. But Mike simply couldn't show up and pump one stock. It would look too obvious. Mike would have to make a name for himself. He would dub himself Mike the Super Penny Stock Picker (starting to sound familiar). Wow, if you look at all the stocks he would tell you he purchased and the price he purchased them at, this guy must be rich, must know what he is doing and I should listen to him. So he would spread his posts across several stocks that he (somehow) would claim he got in at the very bottom. But, of course, it's because he is SOOO good at picking them. He even might adopt a catchy phrase "Follow the money". Sure enough, soon he would have a "following", a few lackeys that believe in this messiah and would defend him. He, in fact, would reveal his vast holdings and the price he entered them at. Not surprisingly, there would be a number of winners in there that he would claim to have scooped at the very bottom. Sprinkled throughout would be a loser or two ("Hey, I take my losses too"). He even might add "recent additions" to his portfolio that might go up. He could defend them as "they will come around some time soon". But he would always eventually focus you on the ones he claims made him the most money. And suddenly he would have such a large portfolio, that on any given day he could scream "SEE WHAT STOCK X DID TODAY!!" and make people feel like this guy ALWAYS picks the winners. He would dismiss a day's loss if anyone points it out by deflecting attention to the winners. And if you look closely, you might find that none of his posts ever contain anything but the most basic reference to due diligence or helpful information. Almost every post would focus exclusively on how successful his picks are, what price he got in at and what price he expects them to go to. Can't find enough like this at CW? You might want to check his posts at SI if you're a member. His handle is BIG DOG (you can find him at CNHH - this is confirmed because a post of his under AVBC says he purchased 50,000 shares at .0525, just as he asserted here on CW). He might post to a variety of threads, all of which he has claimed to have gotten in at low, low prices. He would post nothing but drivel, most of it bragging about his entry price and how high it goes. There is no email address at SI (of course there is never one at CW either). But here's the real kicker: his constant reference to all of these other stocks WOULD BE NOTHING MORE THAN AN ATTEMPT TO GAIN CREDIBILITY AND ROUND UP PEOPLE INTO HIS TARGETED ONE OR TWO SHELL SCAMS. He would like for you to first believe that he is a stock-picking Midas so that you will eventually follow him into his slaughterhouse. He would get cozy, cozy with you on certain other stocks you have already bought and subtly would begin to push his shell stock scam on you. To those that ever question his methods or his madness, he would become OUTRAGED. FILM DUDE, BE GONE VILE FILTH. Because they actually do research. Mike, after all, would be protecting people from evil ones like Film Dude. Mike is their savior, a good guy, and boy, based on his stock-picking history, a genius. And when you're cozy enough with Mike, he would be sure to push a few shares of shell stock on you. He might say "we own the whole the float in my group so I guarantee it has to go up" (well, there is truth that he and his group might actually "own" the float), or "boy, this one should double every month from here on out". He might even claim "Amazing how this one moves up on NO VOLUME'. What he wouldn't point out is that when he first recommended it, it was trading at 1 7/8 bid by 2.25 ask. And all this time he might tout the uptick, the uptick, the uptick, yet it's bid is now 2 1/8. That is, you would have to sell (at the bid) at less than you originally bought (at the ask). Sure the ask has moved up. That would be the point. Because that's where Mike and his MM buddy would want to sell you their shares that only cost them the price of their shell. If Mike sells you and the rest of the herd a few 100,000 shares that he and his MM paid peanuts for, you better believe it would be making him good money. Mike might (after this message particularly) go so far as to have the bid/ask moved up a bit so he could continue to rant and rave about movement. But no matter. He and his MM would make out the same. The bid would always be lowered when you sell. Oh, you might sell out a few 100 shares at the bid, but then it would drop on the rest of your shares. Same when you would buy in on the ask. They just LOVE market orders. The company would find delays, shift corporate strategies and other gamesmanship until the sheep would be completely fleeced. And then Mike, who was not here 3 months ago, would promptly disappear, perhaps to return in another personality (more likely the MM would hire a different "Mike" to ensure a different personality). But Mike certainly might have a weakness as all villains do. An ego. And he might love to paste other stocks just a bit too much and with no basis in truth. Of course, Mike would rationalize this as "protecting the poor people he seeks to help" but it would all be bs the same. Some of you might notice a more "gentle" Mike emerge at some point. Either Mike would have realized maybe his personality was so offensive he actually might be harming sales to his shell stock. More likely, the MM that might work with him told him to shut the hell up. Things could simmer along for Mike right now. They could get some volume each week. They could release news here and there to give Mike a new podium. If things were going well, Mike would be reeling them in one after another. A wolf in sheep's clothing. And worse yet, is it could be 2, not just 1 shell stock. And they might even be connected. No telling how Mike will respond to this post of mine, but he will squirm, he will wriggle, he might "protect" you from this "false accusation", but you just be very, very careful. That having been said, can I confirm any of this? No. Do I believe it is happening? 100%. My opinion only. You need to ask yourself based on what you have seen from Mike if this isn't a very likely scheme of manipulation occurring. Think about it. To Mike: Ever heard of the SEC's Internet Fraud Enforcement Unit? I might think twice about continuing to post. Somebody could be watching you very, very, very closely. Like a hawk you might say . . . |
