From the back cover of the annual report, he's worked his way up thru the ranks fo KLIC from an Engineering Supervisor in 1980 to his last promotion to Senior Vice President Marketing in 1995 with 3 other promotions noted in between. His undergrad degree was from UofMadras, India and an MA from Temple University.

Sounds like Scott liked him.

But why GaSonics? They don't seem to have been doing much for the last few years.

Any insights there?
