Hi Dave,

Thanks for the suggestion. Usually I tend to stay short for quite
some time until there are indications that the fundamentals may
change. Looks like there is a tug-of-war going on now between the bears and continuing bulls. Won't surprise me if the professional money managers are slowly getting out of this stock. It is getting too risky to continue holding a stock with p/e of 50 when pc sales are slowing down, and with a price war looming. Based on past experience, I tend not to pay too much weight on managment's positive comments. Compaq is an example - the CFO said everythings fine a week before the CEO said differently. Seems to me Dell's price erosion will continue as more professionally managed money move out. Sadly, the individuals tend to be the last to pull out, cause they tend to be "married to the stock".

Dave, you were saying that you buy calls and puts cause of the large time premium. Wouldn't this be unfavourable to option buyers? If there is a significant premium on out of money options, wouldn't it be more difficult to make a profitable spread?

D.
