Regarding the Taranaki Basin of New Zealand. I recently ordered and read the annual report of Fletcher Challenge Energy and they had a considerable amount devoted to this area of NZ. They did not blow it up to the extent that INDX news releases have, but it definitely has large potential. It did however point out how complex this geography appears to be. One area in which I fault INDX is that they do not point out the apparent difficulty in finding and extracting the oil and gas in the various areas of NZ. There are areas in the US now where with 3D seismic, companies are bragging of 80 to near 100% success ratios for new wells. I don't think this will be seen in NZ. Would love to be proven wrong!
