Anderson warned to "expect lower quarter (Q1 to Q2) sales".

I wouldn't take Anderson's word for it; or, I wouldn't assume that lower sales will mean a loss for Q2.

In December 97 (I think it was) Apple put out a press release saying that sales would be significantly lower that quarter. A lot of news outlets somehow interpreted that as a negative earnings pre-announcement, even though the press release never said anything about earnings. And we all know how Q1 turned out.

My sense is that Apple has gone from making optimistic predictions and then under-delivering to making cautious statements and over-delivering. Basically they've grown up.

Thanks for your response to my earlier questions, btw.

(Off topic: Sorry to hear you got beaten up on COSFF. I looked at buying that stock when it was at $6, but fortunately didn't have any spare cash at the time. I don't see how CorelDRAW can compete with PhotoShop/Illustrator now that Adobe is so serious with its Windows versions, or how WordPerfect can compete with MS Office, period).
