Are we to cower in fear because a delegation goes to Indonesia?
Are we so chicken-hearted that every foreign disturbance spells
doom to us? Is this the strongest nation in the world, economically
and militarily, or a third rate country that exists
at the mercy of others?

The way world events tend to be portrayed here by some, we (the US)
are totally at the mercy of external events with no power to
influence them. This is just the opposite of how foreigners see US.
