Interesting article. I feel the need to dispute some of its claims <g>.

I think the causal relationship alleged here is, um, BS. PC prices have come down because there's no application driving high end desktop sales.

Welcome to the wonderful world of inelastic demand.

They said:
This massive research effort includes a national survey of 6,000 consumers ...
There's something wrong with that sentence there ... <g>
