Hello Gene:

I just stopped in to see what this thread was about. I was
HOPING it would be a quasi-intelligent discussion of the NASDAQ
system, and I was going to shed some light on how the SEC was
about to bring the thing down under the guise of "protecting the
investor."

Instead, I see you are very patiently, ( and accurately) trying to educate someone who flat out does NOT want to be educated. I'm sure
this "person" will assume I am some co-conspirator of yours, or a
paid stooge, <bg>, but I have been on the floor of the NYSE & I can
tell you point blank the specialists I saw do not even have access
to news. They could care less! The way the price moves is simple..
and I quote a specialist:

"If there's more buyers than sellers, it goes up. If there's more
sellers than buyers, it goes down."

Best of luck to you.

Doug
