Gerry - I called this morning and left a message for Tom LaVoy, but he never returned my call. Under most circumstances "No news is good news", but right now I don't think that holds true. I really have no clue as to what's happening, but the volume hasn't been that scary. Most of us probably have enough shares to flood the market on any given day. And have you noticed what often happens in the morning? I call in for quotes an hour or two after the market opens and discover that only 300 or so shares have traded at the top or bottom of the spread. Then I call in a couple hours later and another 300 shares have traded. Makes me wonder if there isn't some unusual MM manipulation here.
