<<<Don't eat everything that's served. Bring eyedrops. No coffee. Don't sit too close to the screen. Sit on the isle, because it seems everyone else that attends is 6"4"!! Get to bed early (that may not apply for NY, the SF conferences start daily at 7AM). Make sure you go to the breakout sessions of the hottest presenters. You learn much more. Ask other people's opinions.>>>
William, you're fantastic. I barely ate a thing, took eyedrops, drank only half the coffee I poured, and never sat anywhere near the screen. As for sitting on the aisle, I'm not sure if that's better when you have ten people tripping over you getting to the center seats. Still undecided. Bed early??? Didn't manage before one, ususally two. As for breakout sessions, I wonder if they aren't more important than the formal presentations. Definitely would cut back on going to both as it eliminates too many others. Listening to others? I got some of my best ideas that way. I sat by a charming silver-haired gentleman at lunch one day and he grilled me on my ideas. I later learned he was one of the AB principles---an old hand at it, to be sure.
Thanks for taking the time to offer your suggestions.
