PC World April 1998 Feature Article:

Just got the April issue. There is a nice article on $799 computers. I gave it to my staff to try to encourage home use.

Anyway, there is an article: "Can a $799 Computer Steal Your Heart"
It is a comparison of the editor's $3000 Dell and a $799 no name.
He uses the $799 for a week and is surprised at how little difference in every day applications.

His conclusion:

"Did I feel buyers remorse? You bet. But the feeling was fleeting. I FOUND THAT I COULDN'T LIVE WITHOUT MY ZIP DRIVE, or the big crisp dell monitor."

You have to love unsolicited praise like that. Every person who reads that article thinking of buying a $799 computer gets to read that and say to himself; "$799, hmmm, then I could afford a zip drive too, I guess I need one"
