Re. the Dow puts, be careful about going against the tide. The largest single loss that I had for 1997 was in Dec Dow puts. The problem is that right now the money just seems to keep flowing into the market because people think it is the best place for it. Additionally, index funds have been hyped so much that a lot of the fund money is going into those. I hope you make money is these - I'll get vicarious pleasure that at least someone else has done well with DJ puts. But be careful.
