I short naked. I look for froth in a stock. Example: keep an eye on the trading of WPT-Alberta. The froth is there. It will probably run for a few more days...and then....I tend to short only half positions at first. This gives me staying power in case the stock keeps going. It limits your loss, and gain. I also trade out of positions faster if it is showing signs of strength. This way I can trade my way out of a mess. Remember the "drool factor"; The more they drool over the prospects of a stock, the more $$$ that is at stake on a downturn. Saliva is very slippery!
