Sir,

<<You know it's like deja vu all over again. I was around in the early 90's and the similarity between the Biotech hype and Internet hype is astounding. A lot of "faith" in new products/alliances etc. caused a lot of people to lose a lot of money. It was very brutal and unforgiving.>>

I must admit I wasnt trading stocks in the early 90's, fairly new to the ballgame. However, I don't understand what exactly caused the biotech hype, in general? I mean there was no sudden paradigm shift , no fabulous new invention that all of a sudden opened the possibility of a flood of new drugs and treatments. None that I am aware of. The internet on the other hand is an entirely different animal. This has truly transformed the culture we live in. This single development has changed the course of history. That is right, changed the course of history, IMHO. A whole new means of communication that has vast possibilities and potetnial for tremendous growth. I doubt there is a similar paralel with the biotech boom/hype of the early nineties that you speak of. If I am wrong on this please correct me but other wise I can't at all agree with your above statement.
