>>Sony knows how to move in on a market<<

You give Sony a lot of credit for their tactical execution of a marketing plan. Credit where credit is due, I grant you.

Their strategic planning deserves equal credit. I am not convinced that Sony, in spite of their stated intentions, will execute an assault on zip. There may be many other places to spend an equal amount of money with better results than a slug fest with IOM.

Their evaluation of the economics of moving forward with their plans may have changed since they first announced. IOM's full court press most certainly has presented Sony with a different market penetration problem. At some point it's too late. I think soon enough it will be too late if not already.

Their web site gives no clues and no other evidence has surfaced yet as to the actual production, testing, or qualification of HiFD. They are either very secret or no longer interested.

I believe their interest is waning. Could be wrong tho.
