Mike & Jon, You are helping me think this through. I think what I need to better understand is where CTXS vs. the Web would be the right solution for an application. As a typical(?) office worker, I use Word, Excel, Netscape, Mail and a calendar program. Looking at how each of these would be implemented on a thin client: Word (word processing): this is CTXS or java Excel: CTXS or java Netscape: Web Mail: Web Calendar: Web? So I can see that if my company wanted to implement thin clients, the web would not suffice. But am I a "typical" office worker? Am I the real target customer for CTXS? FedEx confuses me. I would have thought that the vast majority of their workers would be using client/server database access applications- perfect applications for the Web. Why are they allegedly signing a big deal with CTXS? Is it for their office workers and not their package handlers/delivery folks/etc.? Alan
