**Off topic mostly**Hi Rosemary,

I've been in FL since my last post to you re: selling CPQ at 33 and before that Jbil at 46. I haven't owned any tech since I sold those two. Since I got my fanny spanked last year with ASND I've become a lot more conservative and diversified. Looking at ASND lately has been kind of bittersweet for me as all the great hardware that was in developement last year when I was buying at 48,40,35,30 etc. is now being deployed by the ISP's and ASND seems back on track to kick some butt in '98 just like I knew it would. I sold all my ASND around 24 last Dec. to offset my gains in WDC. My breakeven was 40.

The stocks I currently own are MWD,ETH,OH,DH, and ABF. These are all just plays on the leadership stocks in areas where I think people will continue to spend their $$. Stock market=MWD, Housing=OH, Furniture=ETH, Chain stores=DH, shipping=ABF (I can't buy UPS and just think ABF will outperform FDX. Also a play on oil price decline). I also owned AC for a while and sold too soon. They have some funny commercials on CNBC and stock is splitting soon.

Re JBIL, I still think they are going to meet/beat est. on Tues. SLR posts Mon. after the close I think. Jbil got slammed after SCI got downgraded. So I'm wondering if I should buy Jbil now or after the SLR report. Any ideas?

Lastly, do you own any LU? My goodness people are piling on anticipating the split. IMHO it's been overvalued for a while and I'm just wondering what will happen after the split.

Regards,
Lee
