Hi Paul. The new guy doesn't come directly from HP, he had a number of very short-term, small-time CFO positions before coming to NOVL as a temp. I checked with QAD and Raney's been out of work since the end of November. Sounds like someone on his way to an early retirement doing a favor for an old friend. I don't think Schmidt was surprised by this, either and I agree that Young probably brought him in. He & Young probably spent the holidays together. As far as why did Dell hire Marengi, I'm sure he's the kind of guy that interviews well and, well, you can only tell so much from interviews. Rich
