>If you need to do general wordprocessing and spreadsheets, etc. you are much better off doing that on a local computer and reducing the load on the LAN. The remote admininstration issues are being worked out, and Windows98 and NT 5 are going to alleviate a lot of those headaches.<

Jon,
One year ago Microsoft Access was running fine on my Netscape web browser of all things. Access wasn't written to do this but it worked fine. The interface was exactly like if I booted up Access on my desktop. Load on the LAN is nil with screen refreshes only. Remember I said I was connected at 28.8bps. On a LAN with a 10mb connection using Citrix, load will never be an issue.

Administration issues being solved by Microsoft is hard to believe when Bill Gates repeatedly says how perfect his products are. Did you watch him being questioned at the senate hearings? How can they solve problems when the top person in the organization won't admit them? My desktop Win95 system crashes at least twice a day. I just bought this system only two weeks ago! It's only a desktop. I feel sorry for all the network administrators out their. At least Microsoft creates lots of work for them.

Well all this is just IMHO. Thanks for the discussion concerning these issues. It helps keep things in perspective.
