To answer your questions-
I was mistaken yesterday the total amt. of inflow just for the Bolsa as at 03/12/98 was 502 million.
(1) Yes the Brasilian Portugese & Keyboards do have a Z, but since it sounds like a double s (ss) when pronounced it is not used much.

(2)I am always looking back to see where Telebr s can go. Up to yesterday we were looking for a pullback to R$139,00(US$122.50), which can still happen if the resistance line of R$146,00(US$128.60)is not broken. But with the ADR at 129.50 who knows what will happen here. What could have pushed TBR could have been the following factors; In the TBR privatization draft it is mentioned that there can be no rate change for the period of one year after signing, this was in the local papers this morning. Also the National Development Bank (BNDES) is going to sell in May/98 1 billion dollars in bonds to help finance privatizations. All very positive news for the ADR.
Buy the way I'm from Ct., just have been here a long time and have become accustomed to the Brasilian market, they love volatility

Not insulted by Brazzos guys!
