TD, The technology that will help spur digitalization of photos and storage/manipulation on CDROMs is APS (Advanced Photo System). What's hot about this is the hybrid digital/film cameras and film. I have had a Canon APS camera for about a year. It shoots far better photos than any 35MM camera I've seen (except of course the high end) and Canon makes a reader/player that hooks up to your computer or TV. The key is getting consumers to get the readers. They are about $300 and easily hook up to your system. Meta is, at least, on the right track in focusing on the camera outfits. Just a tidbit, check on Canon's and Nikon's sites... they are heavily promoting APS. Expect it to make a push this holiday season.
