I think that it depends upon what you've developed the screen for.
The real advantage of a computer is its ability to process an awful lot of information quickly. You set the filtering criteria and the
computer comes back with a list of candidates that meets it.
It's the screen's purpose is to narrow down the field of candidates from many thousands of choices to only a manageable handfull that YOU can then do your homework on then it can be a useful tool, especially if it points you in a particular direction before the bulk of the pack arrives. The real problem is the "screen" is only as good as the person that develops it, if the filters are flawed then you find a whole lot of flawed stocks... but even that should help to identify the flaw in the screen so that you can correct it. The other problem is that you need enough time to do your homework, and the screen should give you this time. If it doesn't then it is still flawed. Expecting the computer to do all the work for you is to invite disaster unless you get it perfect... an unlikely event.
Let the computer do what it does best, and then you do what you do best... lets just hope that it's making money instead of losing it...
