As I understand it, the different 3d chips have different features and coding; opengl is a step towards a standard but at the moment at least, your 3d software writer has to allow for loading different drivers for the different 3d cards or chip-sets (not sure which) to use them effectively. But either way, MCRE have no real excuse not to make use of the hardware acceleration in 3d which is out there, which they dont by their own admission. I thought I made this point clearly. Someone asked about algortihms. The ex-physicist is Sasha Migdal (used to work quantum gravity) and his software is used for some high end 3d scanners and display stuff that MCRE bought into. But it doesnt link up with the consumer products or 3d chips etc, at least so far. I agree MCRE products getting a bit dated for a high-flying company. I used to feel there was always something brewing at this co but now I dont know after so many announcements about similar prodocts or NT versions of old products etc. No point selling my stock tho as I cant see it much lower ... but I said that at 10. I'll wait and see what the new guy at the top does and sell at some point when theres some hype and hope about new products. Agree your overall impression on this stock.
