mb.and thread......here's your statement:" Compaq and Dell are selling
a lot to business, but, then, that has always been their big markets. I don't think that market is growing quickly and all these "sales" by Compaq are just stuffing the distribution channels. Dell, meanwhile, is gaining market share with its lower prices, but
now that other firms have responded to those prices, and components have little absolute downside left, margins are going to get whacked in the growth environment they now predict."
my response:
the only way this ends up as channel stuffing for cpq is a massive economic hiccup.. w/o that, they sell.
I'm not going to let you say you were right w/o you predicting a start of massive recession between now and jan unless you indicate that it is the recession that will cause the lack of sales.

too many of your statements on this are causing people to buy puts too early and the puts they buy can only win if there is a market crash.
plus why buy a 55 put when you'll get a 70 put for same price or maybe even 1/2 of what you paid for 55 put on cpq.... there is a good chance cpq goes to 85 before it goes to 45. I predict the 45, but w/o you indicating the possibility of the 85 then people are looking at your
track record and buying puts way too early.
My record on holding out is 100% correct right to the 75 hiccup on cpq stk. Read my post repeatedly I indicated 75-76 then hiccup then continue to go up. But, I agree with Joe. Good chances of a 85 now then to 45 unless the market crashes.
