Robert, No, actually Jesus was saying words hard to hear and not what the "powers that were" wanted to hear. Even His own apostles had a hard time. But also notice Jesus did not exactly draw the "jet set" to him did He? Yes not all people are selfish, but look at USA in particular what do you think? Of course Jesus had a relationship with the Father. Why? Bunch of reasons but couple come to mind. One is that he pleased the Father. Another is that He suffered for us to the glory of the Father. And yes there are many I am afraid for because they are "in love" with their religion as you say.. but that is no reason for me to not have fellowship with the saints. God Bless..... dcf
