Dan, Dan, Dan... Sorry I was out of pocket for a few days and couldn't be here to respond with a "touche!" to your well stated post. But you will pardon me if I continue to serve the CDMA gods, firm in the belief that those remmants of unbelievers who cling to the GSM idols will eventually see the true path.
Let me catch up a bit after a few days away, and I will be happy to tackle the challenge of a GSM future in Asia. For the time being, Dan, let me say only that I do not contest the fact that GSM exists, nor that it has established strong bases...after all, it existed before CDMA came along. The question I would like to resolve is: what is the long-term future for GSM/TDMA vice CDMA. It appears to me that the answer is CDMA. Clearly you believe otherwise..and you are entitled to your view.
Have you had a chance to follow MOT's recent problems? What was your thought about the fact that many of their difficulties are attributed to their failure to "get their act together" regarding CDMA, and that they had lost contracts for failure to implement (modern) CDMA systems?.. Duane
