You're crazy if you think that box-makers "need" Iomega and Zip. It's the other way around. DELL can drop Zip tomorrow and incorporate another, better drive without breaking a sweat. They'll put in whatever they think will help sell computers. A 200MB device that is faster than Zip and made by a quality company like Sony is a strong incentive for a computer maker to throw the old technology of Iomega in the trash bin.

Don't think for a moment that just because Sony makes computers that competitors won't buy 200MB HiFi. IBM makes disc drives that are fitted inside of competing computer maker's products with no problem.
