What old news? The most recent Wired article is less than a week old (four days old, to be exact), and the news release of the latest resignations came out today.
I don't think that anybody has brought up the question of morality at all, so I'm not sure how the comparison to the President enters into this. While some may make moral decisions in investing or taking a job, I think ultimately our primary consideration is financial and/or personal - e.g. how does it affect me directly? And that's the viewpoint I am expressing here.
As an investor, I don't see anything pointing to this being a legitimate investment. All I see is somebody trying to take my money. How can anyone even consider an investment in a company without even being able to see a financial statement? As an employee (putting myself into the shoes of those who just resigned), I don't see anything pointing to a future that doesn't likely involve landing in the hooscow, or at least spending a lot of annoying time in court having to testify against my bosses.
No, it's not a matter of righteousness at all.
While I respect your role as a hard-working father and husband, as well as the right to do as you please with your money, I also have to point-out that you, or anybody else here could also be completely making it up, and not be an investor of any kind at all, but a plant put there by the company, a promotor, or other interests. Please don't take this personally, because it's not meant to be, and I don't mean to imply that you aren't who you say that you are - I am just saying that it is almost certain that everyone here is not who they seem to be. Promotors are getting very smart, and they are getting skilled at planting empathetic personalities in these forums.
Assuming that YOU are who you say you are, I'd emplore you to go read the horror stories of other fathers and husbands on other threads here who have lost it all chasing a penny stock dream, and consider whether you want to follow in their path. There are some fascinating histories here to be read, and you can see it all unfold, step by step.
If the level of your investment in this company is appropriate (in MY opinion, in this case, that would be equivalent to "beer money"), then you don't have anything to worry about. Have fun, and maybe you're right - this thing is entirely legit and could be a big winner, and then you can all treat us to a whole keg of the premium stuff when it's all over. And, if not, you've lost beer money.
But the choice, OF COURSE, is yours. |
