I'm going to have to read the Scientific American March issue. This would seem to confirm all that I've been hearing from other sources.

I tend to think, though, of HMAR as the better of the two. HMAR has a higher consensus growth rate than TMAR, and there are a couple of aspects of HMAR that stand out, such as consolidation of the tug boat business. The tug boat business is as fragmented now as the oil services supply boat business was several years ago. Also, HMAR has the new technology tug boat which has more operational flexibility with a smaller crew.

I still think the energy and energy services sectors are great investments. These sectors are unfortunately depressed right now because the Street is generally interested in the next 1-2 quarters, not the long term.

In this respect, we individual investors have an advantage. We don't have to show short term profits every month. We can also get into and out of small and microcap stocks with ease.
