re: Patents, technology, sales, etc.

K.C., Amjad, others. Without any opinion on legitimacy of SOE (I'm at a loss and hopeful like everyone else), lets remember that technology doesn't sell; selling sells. If best technology was the key, neither IBM nor Microsoft would have ever become successful, let alone dominant. The worst operating system I've ever seen is MS/DOS. Guess what is the most successful operating system ever. Yep. In other words, iff SOE's technology is anywhere within the range of the good to best for the purpose, and somewhere within the cost range of its competition, then it CAN be sold successfully if the management and sales staff have some talent and a real desire to sell it successfully. Patents can be helpful, but are hardly necessary. With the emerging BOOM (will be huge) in teleconf applications, SOE can be successful iff they really do have a product, and if they have willingness and enough capital to persevere.

Regards,
Dave
