I disagree about whether or not these older guys can draw in the crowds. Have you ever visited the area of the first tournament? My father lives five minutes to the east of the Superstition course at MountainBrook. One of the entry rules to get into Mountain Brook is you have to be over 55. This area of Phoenix and all the way back west to Phoenix is a retirement playground. Old guys drive golf carts to the store for cryin' out loud! When I mentioned the names of the players in this tournament...his reaction was if someone said to me Woods, Daley, Els, Lehman, etc. These were the heroes of that generation (the fastest growing sector of the population controlling an awful lot of $$$$) just as the latter names are to my generation. I have no problem picturing people paying $50 to see this tournament...from what I've seen these retired folks are pretty free spending (esp. concerning golf)....you can't take it with you!

Just some thoughts

Mark
